Frequently asked questions
-
How much does the payroll cost?Prices start at just £12 per week or £24 per month, with everything included and no VAT to pay. Take a look at the full price list here

What is the difference between using No Fuss Payroll or an accountant to manage my employee's payroll?Absolutely none at all. No Fuss Payroll is a payroll agent (or 'bureau') specialising specifically in payroll, whilst an accountant can cover payroll as one of many services they offer. Accountants do often tend to charge more to include payroll as part of their services or outsource the work to an independent payroll agent.

Can your services help with my GDPR responsibilites?Yes absolutely. Payslips can be emailed in password protected PDF format, or even more securely through an online portal, keeping your employee's pay data safe and secure and helping you to comply with GDPR. Please note that you GDPR requirements are not limited to your payroll responsibilities however, and you will still need to check that you are compliant in the other aspects of your business.

Can't I just run the payroll myself for free?Yes you can, HMRC's Basic Tools software is available to use free of charge. However, if you are not aware of all of the underlying principles of payroll, such as calculations of tax, NI, SSP, SMP etc, as well as payment thresholds, RTI and auto-enrolment of pensions, then mistakes can easily be made. This could result in your employees not being paid the correct amount and costly fines from HMRC. For a low cost you can let someone else take care of all of your payroll needs, and relax knowing that it's all being done correctly. I have taken on a fair few payrolls where the business owner has tried to do it themselves, and found themselves with lots of errors that need correcting and unhappy employees.

What are your opening hours?I don't believe in set opening hours. Whenever you contact me I will do my best to reply ASAP, even if it is at the weekend or in the evening.

Do you take on outsourced work from accountants and bookkeepers?Yes, I currently work with several bookkeepers and accountants who pay me a discounted fee to run their payroll for their business so that they can keep their clients who are looking for an all inclusive package, but without having to run the payroll themselves. If you are an accountant or bookkeeper looking to outsource your clients' payroll requirements, I will be happy to take it on for you, subject to how many other clients I have at the time.
